We teach Natural Hair styling which offers an exciting and lucrative career whether you choose to work in a natural hair salon, or at an upscale full service salon! Attending the Institute of Beauty, Tennessee's first freestanding Natural Hair Care School, is a direct path to your new career! The Institute of Beauty offers a Natural Hair course under Tennessee's Apprenticeship Model. This course will be completed in 7 weeks in both the classroom and the supervised salon environment, our program is designed to offer you the opportunity to earn hands-on experience. In 300 hours our program prepares students with hands on training in Natural Hair Care, Braiding Techniques, Extensions, Natural Hair Care Products, and more. The Natural Hair Stylist License covers many techniques that include: twisting, wrapping, weaving, extending, locking, braiding, thermal styling, setting, and scalp treatments to retain hair and prevent hair loss. The program does not include the application of dyes, reactive chemicals or other preparation to alter the color or straighten, curl, or alter the structure of the hair. In total, natural hair students must complete 300 hours of coursework to prepare for licensure. Cancelation Policy

The enrollment fee is NON-REFUNDABLE. The fee is transferable if used within one year of the original start.
